How Do I Meet People?

Northside Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Northside Baptist Church.

Small Group

Often at this point on their website churches will point you to some small group, and that is good. At Northside Baptist, we ARE a small group! After all, good things come in small packages. We are not a mega congregation, but our guess is that you didn’t expect a church of five-thousand in Sydney Mines, right? Small is good! Small means close, loving, and caring relationships. Small means that your input is appreciated. Small means that you can get the attention or help you want, when you need it. Yes, we do have small group opportunities, but our church dynamic is intentionally relational.

Sunday School Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. For years Northside Baptist Church has cultivated a reputation for their work with children’s programs.

Teens

Life can get complicated once you move from childhood into the teenage years. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. Myside Youth Outreach provides a welcoming atmosphere, fun, teaching, and counseling for teens of varying backgrounds throughout our community.

College and Career

You thought being a teenager was tough? Now that you have crossed over into post-secondary education and the workforce the word “complicated” has just taken on a whole new meaning. At Northside Baptist a group of young adults meet together each month to have some fun, network, do charitable work, and eat! It’s called “The Hope Project” Check it out on facebook.

Over 60’s

Once you get past sixty, the fun has just begun. Our J.O.Y. Group (Just Older Youth) has a great time together. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the over-60 group of Northside Baptist provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction.
