Movie Review: Facing the Giants

“I want God to bless this team so much people will talk about what He did. But it means we gotta give Him our best in every area. And if we win, we praise Him. And if we lose, we praise Him. Either way we honor Him with our actions and our attitudes.”

-Coach Grant Taylor, Facing the Giants

It’s a story of impossible dreams, a story of never-give-up courage, and a story of unstoppable faith.

Facing the Giants is a film that will make you laugh, cheer, and gain a greater vision for serving God.

Missions History: Amy Carmichael

“It is great to be faced with the impossible, for nothing is impossible if one is meant to do it. Wisdom will be given, and strength. When the Lord leads, He always strengthens.”

The woman who wrote these inspiring words spoke from the crucible of experience. For over 50 years, Amy Carmichael served as a Anglican missionary in southern India. Sometimes, people at our church in North Sydney face difficult circumstances as well.

Here are just a few of the “impossible” obstacles that she overcame by God’s strength.

Your pastor carries a significant responsibility and concern for the people in his church. As a church member, you can be either a blessing or a burden to him.

Your influence on your pastor’s life is greater than you realize.

With that in mind, here are 3 simple ways you can bless your pastor.
