It’s Not About Us – It’s About Him

At Northside, our desire is to lift up Jesus Christ and introduce others to Him.

We believe that people who have the most fulfilling and joyful lives can be described with these words…

“For the Glory of God and the Benefit of Someone Else.”

At our church, we aren’t perfect. Far from it! But we believe that God’s Word has the answers and help that we need.

So we study the Bible, practice what we learn, and, in the process, grow together.

His Grace Is Sufficient: The Testimony of Joni Eareckson Tada

“The weaker I am, the harder I must lean on God’s grace; the harder I lean on him, the stronger I discover him to be, and the bolder my testimony to his grace.”

The lady who wrote these words bears testimony to them with her life. Since 1967, she has been a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down. Yet, through her suffering, she drew closer to God and learned how to lean on His grace. God has used her to minister to people of all ages and walks of life, and today she is “an international advocate for people with disabilities.”

Here is the incredible testimony of Joni Eareckson Tada.

Throughout life, few things remain the same. Children grow up. Friends move away. The sands of culture shift rapidly under our feet. Yet, in every circumstance of life, we have a God who never changes. At our church in Sydney Mines, we are so thankful for His faithfulness. Moses reminded the Israelites in Deuteronomy 7:9,

“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;”

Here are 3 truths that help us understand God’s faithfulness.

Heroes of the Faith: Corrie ten Boom

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”

Nor did she know that her story of courage and faith would reach millions. Back then, she was just the youngest daughter of a Dutch watchmaker.

Here is the inspiring story of Corrie ten Boom.
