It’s Not About Us – It’s About Him

At Northside, our desire is to lift up Jesus Christ and introduce others to Him.

We believe that people who have the most fulfilling and joyful lives can be described with these words…

“For the Glory of God and the Benefit of Someone Else.”

At our church, we aren’t perfect. Far from it! But we believe that God’s Word has the answers and help that we need.

So we study the Bible, practice what we learn, and, in the process, grow together.

Three Prayers God Always Answers

God does not answer every prayer we pray with, “Yes”. Some prayers are based on incomplete knowledge and human wisdom. Other prayers are made with selfish, greedy motives. In fact, He teaches us in the Bible to pray these requests. What are 3 prayers that God always answers?

How to Use Gospel Tracts

There is a real service of Christ in the distribution of the gospel in its printed form…When preaching and private talk are not available, you need to have a tract ready…Get good striking tracts, or none at all. But a touching gospel tract may be the seed of eternal life. Therefore, do not go out without your tracts.

-Charles Spurgeon

In the Great Commission, Jesus Christ commanded us to, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”  (Mark 16:15) We should actively work to share the gospel with others. Pastors and evangelists play a special role by public preaching, but every Christian shares the responsibility for evangelism. We can share the gospel through one-on-one witnessing conversations, home Bible studies, and many other ways. Today, let’s talk about how to use one helpful witnessing tool—gospel tracts.

Jesus: The Anchor of Our Soul

The Word of God is filled with rich symbols and imagery. God inspired His scribes to illuminate spiritual truths by comparing them to material objects. In Hebrews 6, the author creates a simile to describe our Hope.

“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;” (Hebrews 6:19a)

Who is our only Hope in this world? Jesus Christ is our Hope and the Anchor of our soul!

How is Jesus an Anchor to His people?
